The element of surprise here is the superbly handcrafted packaging that features a sterling silver cage around the bottle that was created by artist Maeve Gilles. It comes in a beautiful wooden box carved with the Highland Park crest and a replica of the Rose Window from Orkney’s St Magnus. As the delicious liquor inside it is consumed, the replica is better revealed on the bottle. You couldn’t possibly imagine the taste of this but it is supposed to be a multi layered, dusty wood and old tobacco flavoured that has a fruit and spices tone along with damsons, raisins and nutmeg prevalent flavours.
